The NorthEast Passenger Transportation (NEPTA) announced a scholarship program in 1999 to acknowledge and assist students entering into or continuing their education in the transit industry.  Financial support of this program is directly from sponsorships and participation in the NEPTA Scholarship Golf Tournament, which is the primary fund raising event each year.

The continued goal of this program is to benefit NEPTA member employees and their dependents and to recognize the importance of education and to encourage growth of students entering into or continuing career advancement in the transportation field.

NEPTA offers two different types of scholarships.  The categories are defined in the applicatoin which will be available August 1, 2012..  Scholarships are available to employees and dependents of NEPTA members in good standing.  Scholarship awards are presented each year at the NEPTA Annual Meeting and Dinner in December.

Members - please encourage your employees and their dependents to apply.  Applications must have the sponsor section completed and signed by the sponsoring NEPTA member.

We strongly encourage your participating in the next  NEPTA scholarship tournament either as a golfer or a sponsor, as this event is the primary financial support for the scholarship program.
