Grant Coordinator Opportunity with Green Mountain Transit
Job Title:Grants Coordinator Reports to: Grants & Capital Projects Manager Effective Date: 5/18/2022
Direct Reports: None Salary: $51,000 (FLSA: Exempt)
Description and Essential Functions Responsible for the coordination of processes for GMT’s internal purchasing policy. Processes and tracks grant billing and capital projects. Supports the organization by ensuring all departments understand GMT’s purchasing policy: • Reviews procurement materials within the organization to ensure compliance with federal requirements • Compiles, analyzes, and coordinates new large procurements • Maintains current knowledge of federal regulations and regulatory documents • Purchases equipment as needed • Assists with capital project budget tracking • Assists with project oversight of consultants, vendors, and contractors • Provides administration of multi-year contracts • Assists with management of Transit Asset Management (TAM) plan • Manages subcontractor vehicle leases • Coordinates bi-annual asset inventory reconciliation • Processes monthly grant billing and special grant billing • Assists with grant billing reconciliations • Completes required annual grant reports • Assists in coordinating information for the annual grant application process • Assists with compiling data for the annual NTD report • Assists with compiling data for the triennial review every three years • Performs other duties as assigned Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Qualifications Education and/or Experience: An Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Public Administration or related field;two (2) yearsof experience in the Accounting field may be substituted for education.
Essential Job Skills and Abilities:
Ability to manage essential functions and meet required deadlines. Ability to work and communicate effectively with a diverse population; work effectively in an environment with multiple competing priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google products, and Microsoft Dynamic Great Plains. Strong verbal and written communication, attention to detail, and flexibility.
Work Conditions
Operates in a professional office environment; and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.Frequent computer use and sitting are required.
Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for long periods of time and work at a computer is required. Occasional lifting of up to 15 lbs., climbing stairs,and standing. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
