Transportation Operations Coordinator Opportunity!
York County Community Transportation (Maine) is seeking a qualified applicant to coordinate vehicle/equipment maintenance.
Position Summary:
York County Community Transportation is seeking a qualified applicant to coordinate vehicle maintenance for all Transportation Program agency vehicles and ensure YCCAC vehicles and equipment are safe and maintained in a state of good repair. The Operations Coordinator assists the Assistant Director-Operations to ensure compliance with all applicable FTA and Maine DOT requirements for, but not limited to: Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports; Inspections; Repairs and Warranties.
Hours:
40 hours/week - 52 weeks/year
The Transportation Operations Coordinator:
Assists with the planning and execution of all safety initiatives related to Operations;
Reports any deficiencies detected with vehicles to the Assistant Director-Operations and provides information regarding any vehicle maintenance completed as a result of the issue;
Assists in overseeing special projects relating to agency vehicles, such as camera installations and other related equipment changes or upgrades;
Performs minor repairs to vehicles such as light bulbs, lift repairs and engine diagnostics;
Performs Annual Transit Vehicle Inspections and 90 Day Emergency Exit Inspections;
Coordinates winter snow removal from the vehicles;
Attends meetings with Maine DOT/FTA in regards to vehicle maintenance and vehicle purchases;
Assists with seasonal start/end with installation and removal of Shoreline Explorer signs, kiosks, benches and umbrellas;
Procures necessary cleaning and maintenance supplies;
Reviews and approves all Shoreline Explorer vehicle maintenance, including pre-season start-up and post-season shut-down;
Performs other duties as assigned,or as necessary to fulfill the position.
Position Qualifications:
The preferred applicant possesses:
Two (2) years college course work or equivalent work experience;
A State of Maine Commercial Vehicle Inspection License is preferred;
Experience with Braun Lift Systems or similar Lift systems;
Capable of performing light duty mechanical repairs;
Must have a Commercial Driver’s License, with passenger endorsement, good defensive driving skills and a clean driving record;
The ability to drive a 20-24 passenger bus and operate a wheel chair lift;
Basic knowledge with Microsoft Office: Excel, Work, Power Point and Outlook.
